I'm looking for mineral make-up that doesn't weight alot, stays on all day at school, and covers up great, also something for sensitive skin. Also something that doesn't cost alot, but will get the job done and will last. I'm a senior in Hs so im looking for something simple. Im light skinned carmel toned, i have oily skin so please help me out, thanks.I'm looking for a great mineral make-up powder, that i can wear to school all day that isn't so pricey.?
I just ordered from Everyday Minerals, their stuff is amazing. I ordered it because I got a sample from a friend and just fell in love with it. They have this ';Try Me'; kit, which is only 5 bucks and you get it for FREE, at checkout and only pay for shipping. What's great about the kit, is that it comes with four different shades and four different finishes (matte, intensive, semi glo and semi matte..which they explain on the website). I ordered the Try Me Tan, since I have tan skin, so maybe try the same kit and since you have oily skin, maybe go with the Matte finish, since it'll help to reduce the shine. And definitely check out the website, it's very informative. Hope this helps.

Best mineral make up powder in drug stores?
i've never tried using powdered/mineral cover up, and i ran out of matte and it was oily and irritated my skin. do you know any good drug store brands ? :)
i dont want to go to department stores and buy them :/
i dont want to spend all my money on one thing. %26gt;%26lt;
i made my budget low Best mineral make up powder in drug stores?
Um I like Maybellines Mineral Power line which you can find at any drugstore. Try using the Mineral Powder and the finishing veil. It runs at like $8.00 a piece though but its one of the cheapest mineral makeups out there that actually works and looks good.Best mineral make up powder in drug stores?
Drugstore minerals cater to pinkish undertones. I'm asian and need mineral makeup with a yellow undertone so I order from Everyday Minerals online and you get a better deal and color selection. Drugstores charge form $8-$15, when you can get samples for $6 until you find your shade. But if you do choose to buy drugstore mineral makeup, I would go with Maybelline Mineral make up, they have more of selection in undertones.
loreal bare naturale is good but kinda messy. and its thicker than most loose powder so its good for more coverage.
maybe try the tru blend mineral makeup? or the revlon one :)
some brands you can get online are the jane iredale and e.l.f. lines of mineral makeup. and i think those are good.
try physicians formula!
its so good! its all natural and its made with no oil and its guaranteed not to clog your pores! its so good!
its about $8-$10. they have them at all drugstores!
also if you wear eyeliner, try theirs! its goes on so smooth and it stay all day!
i would deff. say maybelline mineral ones.. they are amazing.. like it comes in a little tube, and i apply mine witha makeup sponge.. its reallt good coverage.. i have sensitive skin also, and it didnt break me out =]
Almay Pure Blends Mineral Makeup Powder,
it has about every shade and you can get it at any drug store, its about 12 dollars [:

What's the best concealer to use under mineral make-up?
Mix some of your foundation powder with a bit of moisturizer %26amp; use that on the spots you wish to conceal. Then continue as you normally would. You can also combine more than one powder if you want to really match your skin tone in that area.makeup
Which drugstore mineral make-up is the best?
I need something new - but I dont want to spend a ton of money because I'm broke and I like to replace them often (I'm prone to serious skin infections)
So which one is the best?
And how do I select a shade?
I'm fair, and they all seem soooooo dark.

Has anybody else tried the new mineral make up?
What did you think of it?Has anybody else tried the new mineral make up?
I use it all the time..Love it :)Has anybody else tried the new mineral make up?
I use the loreal minerals, I really like it, although its quite pricey. It goes on well and looks natural and my skin has been so much clearer since I started using instead of liquid foundation. I think its worth the money, gives your skin a nice shimmer.
I honestly didn't really like it. The mineral foundation is very hard to put on, and hard to keep in place. And the blush goes on very unevenly.
I never wear face make-up just do my eyes up and a bit of lippy.Sometimes I'll use a moisturiser that adds a light tan.You look like you have nice skin all you need is colour, why don't you try that?
Erm yes, at the risk of sounding poncey, my beautician stocks it and she put it on me last time I went.
Put it this way, I wouldn't buy it.
it's pants!
You should spend the money and buy Sheer Cover
I swear to god I couldn't live without it
that and MAC stuff is fab
kitkat i looked at your question cos i wanted to know as well if it was any good, answers wasn't very helpful lol half say yes and half say no xx
Well I've never heard of it Kat ~ I just try to get the ';London Look'; and look like Kate ~ ahem cough cough...(in me dreams)
Are you some kinda advert? No, I prefer to use make up proven to be from a firm that does not test on animals or go ';Naked!';
nah, not tried it yet, is it any good then?
I've never tried it.. :(
im thinking of trying it
No Kat...i don't do make up...just kohl for my eyes %26amp; a bit of powder with a lipstick sometimes.
good
i personally dont like it
nope... any good?
miss snorkel thats what i use too... snap

I just got some Maybellene mineral makeup.Seems to work really well - how does mineral make-up work?
mineral makeup is supposed to be better for your skin, because it doesn't (or least it isn't supposed to) have synthetic ingredients and preservatives. It does work just like other foundation however. It can be more sheer (bc it doesn't have extra things to bind it to your skin, which is fine if you ask me) so more coverage might be needed. Overall it is a good thing to use because it is a more natural approach to makeup. I just got some Maybellene mineral makeup.Seems to work really well - how does mineral make-up work?
yep, it works the same as any other makeup would. I found that some mineral makeups are more highly pigmented and more shimmery (in the case of the eyeshadow) because of the mica content in it. Mineral makeup foundation doesnt give a heavy coverage.I just got some Maybellene mineral makeup.Seems to work really well - how does mineral make-up work?
Mineral makeup is great for those with sensitive skin or those that just want a flawless look. It's way healthier for your skin and is ok to sleep with.

Mineral Make up, is it better that soild compact powders?
i was thinking of getting some, any recommendations? %26amp; do they work good?Mineral Make up, is it better that soild compact powders?
Bare minerals from sephora works amazing!
i reccomend mineral makeup! ive been using it for 2 yrs...and its good for your skin...doesnt clog pores...makes it look like your not wearing any make up at all...face looks flawless and glowy..
i love it!
=)Mineral Make up, is it better that soild compact powders?
Bare Minerals! Find it at WWW.Sephora.com
I like it alot better!! My Mom sells the Mary-Kay mineral makeup so thats what i use
Definitely better than other powders I've tried. Its light, makes my skin soft, healthier and I never have to worry about it clogging my pores. My favorite mineral make up brand is Bare Essentials, its definitely a must have. Its pricey but its the best mineral make up I've ever tried. I always get great compliments on my skin. People say I have flawless skin, even though i'm far from having perfect skin. It gives me great coverage, for those one or two little bumps or blemishes. I have combination/dry skin and this powder foundation is perfect. Another great mineral powder is physicians formula. I love it too but I personally think Bare essentials is much better.
Oh yes. I love it much better than the compact powders because it covers better and gives you an amazing finish. I have had great luck with the kms mineral essentials products. It is truly all pure minerals, and my skin looks absolutely flawless now.
Yes it is better!!!
I use it all the time!
Try the new Maybelline one its really good!

I want to switch to mineral make-up, will it make my sensitive acne prone skin break out more?
i was thinking about going to sephora and looking at their bareminerals selection...but are there any other places where I could get it as well? Maybe specific brands that you like?
I cannot wear any drug store brands like maybeline, or cover girl because they make me break out!!I want to switch to mineral make-up, will it make my sensitive acne prone skin break out more?
Mineral make-up is supposed to let your skin breathe more, so it would be less-likely to make your acne prone skin break out. Have you tried using natural make-up, as it isn't full of chemicals to affect your sensitive skin. Hope this helps.I want to switch to mineral make-up, will it make my sensitive acne prone skin break out more?
It really depends on YOUR specific skin type. Mineral makeup is designed to not be so heavy on your skin, and to allow your skin more ';breathing'; room. I use Bare Minerals and it doesn't break me out at all, and most people I know--it didn't breaak them out, and it is the number one bestselling mineral makeup in America, so obviously a lot of other people agree that it is good. If you see any starting signs of acne, then stop using it, and switch back to your old face makeup routine.
Hope I helped!
-Erica
It depends. You could try switching to mineral make-up but if you start seeing signs of acne than you should switch to what you 've had before. You wouldn't want to use a product that would make you break out. I use annabelle products which i highly recommend.
Bareminerals is good. I use it and if anything it should make your skin better. And although I don't recommend it, I even sleep in it sometimes and I don't break out.
Oh i'm 18 and i have the SAME problem. I switched to bare minerals and honestly it is SOO much better. I highly suggest you try that instead. :)
bare minerals is good, itll cover your acne well and not hurt itmakeup

No sephora, and they don't have it in either of the Macy stores they have up here. what other stores hold bare minerals?Where in Santa Rosa,CA can I find bare mineral make up? Please help?

Shop around a little more in the downtown mall and the Coddingtown mall. There should be some smaller shops that would carry this line. Otherwise, try the body care dept at your local Whole Foods Market.

Does anyone else find mineral make-up really drying?
I have tried from expensive to cheap and everything in between, but they seem to dry out my face. I don't have dry skin!Does anyone else find mineral make-up really drying?
I find it to make my skin oily.
If you have dry skin it will only add to it.Does anyone else find mineral make-up really drying?
Yes the mineral powders can be drying and flaking in many cases while in other cases increased oil break through, clogging of pores and quite irritated skin. The only product with excellent reviews and my personal recommendation after trying various brands on myself as well as my clients I can only recommend bee luscious cosmetics because of their unique formula, non clogging, hypo allergenic foundations and makeup. http://www.beeluscious.com
yes i did too, i found it made my skin look like it was kinda flaky. i dont even have dry skin either. then i asked my friend whos a make-up artist and she gave me some really good tips and now im fine when using it.
allow your moisturizer to dry and absorb before applying your make-up, this may take a few minutes.
always use a non-mineral, oil-based moisturizer that will not clog pores. if your moisturizer does not absorb into your skin, neither will your mineral makeup.
use a setting powder as a base all over if you have oily skin...it will help absorb the oil naturally.
using special enhancers such as ';polished'; will refract light and make your dark under-eye cirles disappear. also use in the corner of eyes, mouth, etc. to reduce the appearance of fine lines.
mineral make-up should be applied in light layers. if you feel you need more coverage, keep applying light layers.
i have found the least drying mineral make up to be loreals true match minerals, if you follow these tips it might improve the look of it. good luck.
hope this helps

Mineral make-up when applied seems to clog and does not give off the shine like on TV (do they do something, we don't)
I have never had dry skin from it though, sorry...
Clinique products are really drying. Their toner took the varnish off my coffee table where I spilt some.
oh yes ducky it gets in me beard lol tc

Is the Internet the best place to get mineral make-up?
I want to try mineral make-up, but I have no idea where to get it. Is ordering it on the Internet the best way? If so, what websites??? Thank-you!!!Is the Internet the best place to get mineral make-up?
no, it is best to try it out in person the first time, to match your skintone, and to see, how it looks on you. check out bare minerals at any ulta, sephora, macy's, nordsrom, or bare escentuals store, before spending any money online. after that you can order online from qvc, or the websites of the stores that carry it.Is the Internet the best place to get mineral make-up?
I would definitely hit up Sephora if you have one near you, or go to Sephora.com. Bare Minerals is the best mineral make up you can buy. If you just want to try mineral make-up go to Walmart or Target, a lot of make up brands are coming out with mineral make ups because they are so popular now. Try Physcians Formula or Loreal mineral lines.
Try Everydayminerals.com. The best prices and the best quality of products. I have tried any brand of minerals that you could name of, but this brand is awesome-
no,you get samples to see if you get irritations in stores.try osco!
On the internet, you cannot match your skin tone completely. Your best bet would be going to a cosmetic counter (Macy*s, Lord %26amp; Taylor or Sephora) and asking a sales associate to give you a demonstration.
If you have already used it and know your brand and shade, then the internet should be fine. However, beware of websites like ebay where quality is not regulated, you may be getting a fake product, which at best would not look right, and at worst could cause serious skin problems.
If you have never used a mineral make up, try it first. Go to Sephora, Ulta, a Bare Minerals or Bare Essenctuals store, or a department store that carries it. They are not all the same, so try a few before you make your decision. Have the salespeople show you how to apply it, walk around the mall with it on for a while, see how you like it. They are not for everyone, so TRY IT.
Another plus to buying it is a brick and mortar store is that there are often bonuses for buying products, and there are sometimes product sets that are only available in store.
If you live no where near any of these, call salons and spas in your area, see if they use the makeup, and schedule an application. However this will cost money.
Try the store ulta or sephora they both sell it mineral makeup is naturally pricey but it would cost a whole lot more with shipping and handling

Can your own mineral make up be made? out of glitter, corn starch and lotion?
or something like that, they said that you can take the powdered mineral make up and mix in a little lotion to make a cream foundation? Can your own mineral make up be made? out of glitter, corn starch and lotion?
sounds pretty tricky, but you can try it with a small amount and see what happens. Can your own mineral make up be made? out of glitter, corn starch and lotion?
I wouldn't use glitter but I would use a mineral powder and mousteirizer and pigment coloring (in your shade ) its just easier to buy it I hope that helps chose me as the best answer that would be great
Umm...mineral makeup is made out of minerals, not corn starch and glitter!
But sure you can take mineral powder and mix it with moisturizer for a foundation.
i did, and it looked gross .!
i wouldnt try .......
it was super clumpy .
not recommended.

What kind of make up remover do you need to remove mineral make up?
im decided whether to buy neutrogena or physicians formula but thats not the question
my question is can i just use proactive soap (cuz thats the soap i use currentlly) or do i have to buy a seperate make up remover?
and if i have to buy a make up remover which one should i buy?
my face is oily sensitive and i don't want any of those stuff that make my face sting.
thnxWhat kind of make up remover do you need to remove mineral make up?
I use the Bare Essetuals mineral foundation and eyeshadows and both come off easily with my regular facial cleanser. You shouldn't need anything speacial to get them off. If you are worried, try using a tonor or astringent after you wash your face to get off any oil or residue left behind. What kind of make up remover do you need to remove mineral make up?
You don't say if its foundation you are trying to remove or eye shadow. But I got a great idea what to use for both.
For eye shadow and eye liner removal , you can use your
kitchen.. You are looking for ';Extra Virgin Olive Oil'; and cotton ball. And yes I mean the type you cook with!
It works wonders without stringing your eyes, or causing pain of any kind as long as you don't get it into your eyes.
Make sure you use a pure cotton ball as well.
For your face if you need to remove foundation, look for a all natural makeup remover!
Organic if you can. Check into sites that offer all natural skincare products, so that you are doing your face a favor. Try a super gentle facial wash if you are not sure how your face is going to act.
Most Soaps are for your body not your face!
my question is can i just use proactive soap (cuz thats the soap i use currentlly) or do i have to buy a seperate make up remover?
and if i have to buy a make up remover which one should i buy?
my face is oily sensitive and i don't want any of those stuff that make my face sting.

What is the best Mineral Make-up Foundation?
Do you know what is the best mineral make-up foundation that I can purschase at a drugstore. And it:
-Has Good Coverage
-For Dry skin
-Stays on even after a long workout

Honestly buying cheap drugstore makeup is a huge mistake... And Bare Minerals is the best mineral makeup out there. You can buy a kit from sephora for about $60 i think, it's probably a bit cheaper.. and it lasts you for about a year, so it's definitely worth it, and it's so much better for your skin then the cheap stuff.. seriously consider looking into :)What is the best Mineral Make-up Foundation?
Bare Minerals i LOVE.
I wear it through out the day and then when i go to the gym and it never wears out.

I don't want to use mineral make up or mineral foundation. How can i still take great care of my skin while
using normal make up %26amp; prevent my skin from getting damaged from the make up?I don't want to use mineral make up or mineral foundation. How can i still take great care of my skin while
';normal'; make-up seeps into the skin, clogs pores, and aggravates acne. mineral make-up sits on the skin, it doesn't get absorbed by the body, it just washes off at night. it also looks much more natural. bare minerals has won several awards for healthiest make-up brand, and is the only brand recommended by the national skincancer foundation, because it is actually good for the skin, and has a natural spf 15. check out your options at ulta, sephora, macy's, or nordstrom stores, to see, what works best on your skin.I don't want to use mineral make up or mineral foundation. Aren't you a guy??? Anyway, just so you know, mineral-based makeup IS the healthiest makeup for your skin becuz it's natural. To help with damage makeup causes, use a good cleanser and moisturizer 2x a day.
Keep your skin clean and protected at all times especially from your make up. I use a great product that has my skin flawless. Email me at nesa23us@yahoo for more info.
Mineral makeup does not clog your pores and will not harm your skin .
Use oil-free foundation with SPF, keep it light, and always wash it off before going to bed. Why don't you want to use mineral faoundation? I use Bare Minerals and i really like it.

What is the softest brush for mineral make up?
I love my Powder Brush from the Bodyshop. It's so soft even though it has synthetic bristles. I think it's around $20. I also love my Essence of Beauty Kabuki Brush. It's $10 and they are only sold at CVS. All their brushes are amazing though. And if you want to spend a lot more money, buy a MAC 134 flat powder brush or a MAC kabuki brush. Good luck =]
I want to try the Avon mineral make-up, but I don't know what color. I have light olive skin.?
I am caucasion, with light olive skin, yellow undertones. I often have trouble finding the right color foundation. Any Avon experts out there?I want to try the Avon mineral make-up, but I don't know what color. I have light olive skin.?
I agree on the colors, however there is no nude in the mineral foundations. I'm thinking that the bisque might be best. I can send you samples of another AVON foundation in the same colors, if you're interested, email me
There are a few different mineral make-up offerings.
PERSONAL MATCH Smooth Mineral Blush (stay away from blushes that are pink) (it's on sale after 1/10, usually $9, on sale at $5.99
PERSONAL MATCH Smooth Mineral Eyeshadow (there are 8 shades to choose from) (it's $8. and will be on sale for $4.99 after 1/10/08
PERSONAL MATCH Smooth Mineral Make-up Foundation. (is on sale for $7.99, usual cost is $10) for $4.99

Can you only buy pur mineral make up online?
also how is it?
i have very dry skin yet it gets very oily. does pur minerals fondation dry out your skin in the winter? any other comments on the make up?Can you only buy pur mineral make up online?
pur minerals can be bought at ulta stores. I'd check makeupalley.com for reviews, but it works for some doesn't work for others. with dry skin that gets oily (aka combination) I'd try pur minerals and see what it does. obviously apply lightly to drier areas and more to the oily areas of your face. Can you only buy pur mineral make up online?
I have dry skin and I have tried it. It's about like all the other mineral makeup out there - it sucks. At least it did for me. I keep going back to liquid foundation.

How long does mineral make-up last?
without using it, it can last indefinitely. if you start using it and dip used brushes into the makeup then it will probably last a year or two. i usually tap the makeup into another container and then dip my brushes in for use. that keeps the makeup clean and it can last indefinitely. How long does mineral make-up last?

Can anyone tell me what is the basic difference between mineral make up nd ordinary make up?
Mineral Makeup uses fewer ingredients, which means less irritation to your skin. It's very kind to your skin. It's crushed minerals, where as regular makeup uses things like preservatives, fragrances, dyes and other things.
Check out the before/after picture (half face done) to show the great coverage. I have Rosacea, so you can see how red I am on one side, versus the excellent coverage with mineral makeup...and gentle enough for me to use!Can anyone tell me what is the basic difference between mineral make up nd ordinary make up?
Mineral makeup is better for your skin. Like the first person said, you can even sleep with it one and it wont effect your skin. It covers great and looks amazing. It is so light you can't even feel it when it's on but yet it covers. Can anyone tell me what is the basic difference between mineral make up nd ordinary make up?
mineral is better for your skin you can apparantly even sleep in it. I dont like it though, i prefer shovelling on the make up lol!

Should I try Philosophy mineral make up for Sonia Kashuk from Target?
I heard both are really effective. Sonia Kashuk is 15 dollars versus 35, but Sonia Kashuk foundation requires a foundation brush (which is 20 dollars more)Should I try Philosophy mineral make up for Sonia Kashuk from Target?
I've heard okay things about Philosophy mineral makeup (I have their kabuki brush though) and I also have Sonia Kashuk brushes from Target. I really like the Target brushes, they're a really good value (especially considering how much I paid for it) and they apply minerals well.
As for the minerals themselves, I don't really suggest either brand. They don't have particularly good ingredients in them, and Philosophy is overpriced. You might want to try everydayminerals.com or lumierecosmetics.com which both sell high quality mineral makeup at low prices (around Sonia Kashuk prices).

I just bought mineral make-up from Karmaology. In which order do I apply the minerals?
Medium - Loose SPF Mineral Foundation
Veil - a translucent finishing powder
Rested - mineral concealer for dark circles %26amp; imperfections
Adobe - a sheer clay colored pearl finish blush/bronzer
Tulip - a medium pink colored shimmer blush
Any other tips would be appreciated. Thank you! :)I just bought mineral make-up from Karmaology. In which order do I apply the minerals?
Use just like regular make-up. Begin with the concealer, followed by foundation, then blush (or blush/bronzer - not both products at the same time). Apply your eye make-up (not mascara yet) then lightly dust your face with the translucent finishing powder to ';set'; everything. Apply mascara and curl lashes last.

What Is The Best Mineral Make Up?
I'm 14, and my skin use to be really oily, but now it's kinda dry. I've never wore foundation before, and the only make up I've worn before is mascara, eyeshadow, eyeliner, and blush. What is the best mineral make up I should use? What Is The Best Mineral Make Up?
i really like bare minerals or the one that mabeline makes ^^What Is The Best Mineral Make Up?
I like Bare Escentuals. I never wore foundations either because I thought they looked gross...well...the liquid still does look gross. I got the Bare Escentuals starter kit and I LOVE it. I only wear it when I'm going out or on special occassions and it works fantastic! I've also purchased the mineral concealer for under my eyes and it also works great.
First off you need to start with a good skin line. Estee Lauder has the best!! Mostly because you really dont have many concerns at this age so why not prevent!! Its a lot easier to prevent then repair! Now for the mineral make up.... Pure minerals is my favorite it has shay butter in it to moisturize your skin which will help with the dry skin. Im not a big fan of bare minerals because it shows pores even if yours are not that large. But if you go to Ulta try both they will do it for free or are suppose to! Try each one on both sides. I would say they are both great products and are very advanced in giving great healthy products!
I use bare escentuals (its spelled weird, I know) and I LOVE IT. It rocks my world AND my skin has way less pimples than it did with other powders.
It's like $25 a pop, but it lasts forever because you only need a little bit. I would recommend you buy it from a makeup counter and have them tell you how to put it on; if you use too much you get cake face.
Bare Minerals is okay...but I recommend Colour Science. It is actually made from the same company asBM, but it has higher quality minerals, and is way more expensive to boot. But it is by far the best out there.
For dry skin I recommend Aromaleigh in the Glissade fomulation. That's what I use. It doesn't itch like some brands do.

Best mineral make up for 13 year old?
What's the best mineral make up for a 13 year old with combination skin, with a few blemishes and some pimples and uneven skin tone?
Don't tell me not to wear any, I really hate my skin.
I want something under $25...I went to the BareMinerals place at the mall and the lady showed me how to put some on but it didn't really look like it did anything? So no to that.
Any suggestions?Best mineral make up for 13 year old?
Micabella has the best mineral make up on the planet.
http://www.micabella.com/
Sometimes you can find a kiosk in the mall with this stuff. I love it.Best mineral make up for 13 year old?
Mineral makeup often times has just as many chemicals in them as other products and not enough minerals to make them worthwhile. That being said I do use Loreal Bare Naturale all over mineral glow occasionally and love it(but not for its mineral qualities). If your skin is combination you need to determine if it leans more towards dry or oily. If oily go with oil free foundation. If dry use a moisturizing one. Cream to powder works really good with combination that is oily as it cuts shine and provides good coverage. A nice makeup foundation for teens is CoverGirl Clean Makeup. At Walmart I think you can get it for 4 - 5$. Also try to get a good concealer to touch up the blemishes and pimples before applying the foundation. Use a brush to apply the concealer so it just ends up on the blemish and not all over the surrounding skin. Don't use sponges to apply foundation. In addition to absorbing (and wasting) your foundation, sponges also absorb the oils and bacteria found on the surface of the skin. Unless you are cleaning and disposing of your sponges regularly, you could be redistributing the oil on the face, causing breakouts. Aspirin is great to heal acne and blemishes. It contains Salicylic which is a Beta-Hydroxy acid commonly used in acne treatments. Simply take one capsule, crush with a spoon and add a little water. Spot-treat as needed.
Everydayminerals is really good, and it's pretty cheap, they have tons and tons of shades of blush, face color, foundation for different skin tones, again tons of shades, eyeshadows and stuff you can use as eyeliner.
You can get a package of quite a bit stuff for I think $45 or $50, it's a good deal. But you can buy seperately.
Everything only has about 4 or 5 ingredients, they are all natural and chemical free so they are good for your skin. And you can choose different types of the foundation, for combination skin, oily, dry, normal, and one for all. They have tons of options for stuff.
I am 15 and wear this stuff, my sister who is 13 wears it too. I understand why you don't like your skin I didn't like mine at your age either but it will get better - mine was bad and then it was nearly flawless when I was almost 14.
I would defiantly suggest physicians formula mineral wear. It's an amazing line and is really gentle on your skin. It's 100% talc free(talc clogs your pores and causes blemishes and is found in most drugstore brands like Revlon, loreal ect.) It's also fragrance free, hypoallergenic and dermatologist recommended. It gives you full coverage and will even out your skin tone. It's fairly inexpensive and you can find it at most drugstores. For your skin type I would suggest purchasing the green concealer(green covers blemishes and evens out skin tone) and than applying the loose powder mineral wear. To finish apply a finishing veil. Your skin will look incredible!
P.s: Bare minerals is awful. It clogs your pores and doesn't have any coverage. I don't recommend it.
Well, first focus on your skincare to clean up your skin. Ask your mom to take you to the dermatolists so they can clear up your skin. And always use SPF whatever you do.
For the mineral makeup, if you don't like Bare Minerals, you can try Physician's Formula Mineral Wear. I use it everyday because Bare Minerals runs out kinda fast and it gets a little expensive. Mineral Wear gives good coverage of blemishes, but you should buy a stick concealer to target the pimples.
best of luck, hope i helped :-)
Revlon or Loreal make-up is great. You are young and Cover Girl products have Noxema in them. This is a clean make-up and great for a starting product. I am 48 years old and have a great complexion I started with Cover Girl. In the summer I still use Cover Girl foundations,it doesn't clog the pores. Clean your face everyday in the am and in the pm. Noxema cleaning pads are good to use after you clean with a face scrub. I would use a sun block before you apply the make up. Skin toners are good for toning the skin. I would not use any fade creams at your age they are too harsh. Girls really have problems because we are girls and our body changes monthly so does our skin. We have to constantly stay on top of it. If none of the over the counter products work, I would ask Mom to seek help for me. Mom's don't like for their baby girls to grow up so I would talk to Mom with respect yet in a mature way. Mom's are great even when you don't think Mom is listening she is. Mom is the best choice for this question and probably will give you the better advise than any of us can because she knows you and your complexion better than any of us. Big sisters are great also. Even Grandma's are great. I hope this will help you.
hmm try taking care of your skin first depending one the dammage. otherwise you'll tend to cake it on and try to hide everything. i have combination skin too but i use Clinique's super fit foundation, its OIL FREE. as for mineral powder try micabella. just experiment for a while, and you'll find whats right for you. hope this helps.

Sally Beauty carries a great line of mineral makeup. It's not too expensive either!

the loreal mineral makeup has good coverage so i think that would work good for you
go to wal mart mostly mary kate and ashley make-up
mac mac mac it works like a charm.. i use it all the time and all my friends use it girll it really does work. just try itmakeup

Why are most of the cosmetic companies producing ';mineral'; make-up?
What's the advantage? Why is it supposed to be so good. I have tried several brands and am not too impressed so far. Would someone kindly enlighten me?Why are most of the cosmetic companies producing ';mineral'; make-up?
As more people come to understand the toxicity of many of the ingredients commonly used in make-up, the manufacturers are developing lines without some of those ingredients, i.e. fillers, binders, preservatives, many of which are made from petroleum. They are marketed as being safer, less toxic, more natural, etc.
Those claims are true for SOME lines, primarily the small labels -- the kind you'll find in a good health food store. The term 'mineral make-up' has no regulation or legal definition -- anyone can put it on their product regardless of its content. The major manufacturers are using technologies that change the behaviour of the ingredients and also using industrial by-products, 'minerals' that aren't found in the earth.
The idea is good, but the practice often isn't.Why are most of the cosmetic companies producing ';mineral'; make-up?
Its supposibly helps the skin since it contains ';minerals'; . I;m not exactly sure how many minerals are in it, and its being said that it wont harm you if you sleep with it on because its ';Good'; for you.
However, im not impressed.
I feel like its a ploy to make more money.
Mineral makeup is suppose to be better for your skin.
I heard that mineral makeup does not irrate, or whatever the other regular makeup does, your skin.
I have not tried it because I find mineral makeup to be insanely expensive.
I think it probably clogs up your pores. I'm not a big fan of makeup and don't wear it unless we are going out at night or for some fancy occasion.
Probably they make a fortune off of the stuff. I doubt it does anything special other than captivate people with advertising.
it apparently it better for your skin but i thinks its because of the going green trend and they want to be part of it and make money off the market that want to buy more ';natural'; things to help the enviorment
it's oil-free and supposed to be better for your skin

Looking for a good mineral make up. I'm looking for people that have similar skin and experience with products?
There is so much out there to choose from. I'm looking for a foundation/concealer type make up with medium coverage, but covers nicely without being so obvious. Need something for fair, sensitive, combination ( more oily as the day goes on but a few dry spots) acne prone skin. I'm looking for a drugstore or department store brand mainly, but am also open to ordering options. Please feel free to give awesome elaborate answers! LOLLooking for a good mineral make up. I'm looking for people that have similar skin and experience with products?
I'd try Everyday Minerals: https://www.everydayminerals.com/
I tried it and I really like their stuff!
They have a lot of colours to choose from, and I am very fair so most companies don't carry my colour but they do. It goes on nicely and isn't cakey at all.
They offer a 'free sample' so you can find your right foundation shade (it's really like 3$, but that's just for shipping and you get three colours and two other samples of your choice).
All natural minerals, and they are very reasonably priced.
If you don't want to order online, I'd try Physician's Formula. They have organic ingredients and their stuff is also hypoallergenic. It's good for your skin and also has nice coverage. :]
I hope this helps; good luck! :]Looking for a good mineral make up. I'm looking for people that have similar skin and experience with products?
i've tried everything in drug stores and none of it has worked, you might not be as pale as i am. i'm literally paler than an albino. i met one at the store i work at once, and i have really sensitive skin and it does the same thing as you. i've tried bareminerals. it works its just a tad bit to dark. i dust it over with white heat from hot topic, it doesn't hurt my skin, just dust it lightly.
a really good and cheap ordering option is coastal scents. they give you samples for $2.oo, they are pretty giving in that department. they last me for a while. it goes great as a concealer and foundation. you can get the ______glow for a fairer color or the same thing without the glow in it for a bit darker. well, not as 'glowy'. good luck
http://www.coastalscents.com/cfwebstore/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display%26amp;category_id=42
okay you have combination skin. I do as well but it is manageable, trust me. always wash your face twice a day i use proactiv. next use blotting tissues over the oily skin, they work like a charm! i usually use them in the mornings after washing my face. next use a toner this will take care of pimples and oily skin. now use an oil free moisturizer, this will treat the areas of skin which are dry but keep the oily skin under control. now its time for foundation. i love clinique it works well when covering blemishes. also for a concealer use a color like green, for pimples that are red, green acts as a contrast and tones down the redness. i would not recommend mineral makeup, because it just doesnt look natural over pimples and oily skin.
From my experience, I have tried only one type of mineral makeup from the drugstore. It wasn't love at first sight- I used Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Mineral Loose Powder, and this is a negative recommendation.
My sister, however, uses Bare Minerals. She got sucked in to the Sephora-promoted hype, and got it there. I think she likes it, but make sure to get color matched, because I think she got a shade too dark. You can always wait for deals at Ulta though, I think I've seen it in the ads for cheaper.
I'm a big fan of Leeza Gibbons' ';Sheer Cover'; mineral makeup.
It's completely weightless on your skin plus it comes with its own duo creme concealer which is a must for those of us who suffer from dark under eye circles. It hides them beautifully.
WIth Sheer Cover, you get an even toned flawless natural look.
Your skin looks healthy and radiant.
Be prepared to receive lots of compliments from your friends and coworkers!
I use Urban Decay. I have used bare minerals and was not fond of the results. I felt it made me look shiny and a little fake. Urban decay is very natural looking to me. I have not had any acne problems and it seems to suit my combination skin well. You can get this brand either at Sephora stores or order online through their website or beauty.com. If you have access to a Sephora it is a great store because you can try all the department store brand cosmetics without a salesperson.
I just bought Revlon Colorstay Mineral Foundation last night, and absolutely love it! It has stayed on all day, and I have very red skin on my nose and chin, and it covered it well. It cost me 12.99 at my local drugstore, but I'm sure it would be cheaper at one of the big discount stores like Wal Mart or Target. I have very fair skin, and this color 010 suits me perfectly . You may want to give it a try!
I use bare minerals..A little on the expensive side but totally worth it and it lasts a long time. I always use liquid foundation and I thought that a powder foundation would not work as well but it covers EVERYTHING and it feels so light on your face. it's amazing

%26amp; any good brands at a drug store for powder bronze? If I use any mineral make up like bronzer will i get acne?
Drug Store as well as some main popular brands like bare minerals and sheer cover, maybelline and revlon contain bismuth oxychloride which does clog pores and creates breakouts I always recommend tomy clients the best brand I found is bee luscious cosmetics its completely free of bismuth and will never create any breakouts.
http://www.beeluscious.comIf I use any mineral make up like bronzer will i get acne?
It depends on what kind. Some mineral makeup like bare minerals tends to not give you acne
it depend what brand you use. some make up tend to clog up pores
good luck!
i don't think so
I defiantly not! Atleast if ur a nice clean person and u wash ur face routinly. And any brand is great I mean they r made of the same thing
it depends if ure face is oily u shouldnt use it but if u have moderate or dry skin it would not cause acne
Probally not
dont worry
I like Physician's formula. That's what I use. I break out bad and I had to go to the dermatologist for it, but I'm doing better now. It's good and it looks pretty:) It's called shimmer strips. I like pink sand.

What is mineral make-up for women?
I just heard about it today and have not idea what it is. Is it expensive. And is it just a trend or what? Please explain.
Thanks. What is mineral make-up for women?
After the research I have done over the years I have found that mineral makeup doesn't have to be expensive. I have also learned that all mineral makeup is not alike. Some have unnecessary fillers and irritants in them. Mineral makeup is best if ist is 100% pure. Mineral powder settles on the skin differently than conventional powders do, so it doesn't settle into fine lines.
I found a line that I really love called kms mineral essentials. It is all natural and it is not expensive compared to the other brands. I love that it is pure and good for your skin. What is mineral make-up for women?
its a great makeup,
which makes your skin look natural
not like clumpy foundation,
the set I looked at cost $90 but you can find cheaper ones
mineral make up can be great, and its pretty good for you skin compared to other kinds. but dont be fooled, cover girl keeps stamping the word mineral on stuff but it's not the same, they just throw some zinc into whatever they already made. bare minerals is best.
Not all mineral makeup is created the same! Bare Minerals/Essentuals use bismuth as a cheap filler. It is still a mineral but don't be fooled as it could be harmful as a lot of women have found it to cause skin irritation, acne and flaky skin. Bismuth is a form of arsenic and is a by-product of copper mining. There are MANY cosmetic companies that add this to their makeup line as a cheap way to give you a ';glow'; as bismuth is a very shiny heavy metal.
I use Bee-Luscious as it contains no bismuth, talc or oils. It is a fully breathable makeup and will stay on all day long. Look them up on Google or Yahoo.
bear minerals is 25 per container
its very good stuff.
There are many brands of mineral makeup, most notable Bare Minerals, Sheer Cover, and Everyday Minerals. Mineral makeup is better for your skin than ';traditional'; makeup because it contains pure minerals and no bad chemicals, oils, or preservatives. It usually comes in a loose powder form and most people refer to foundation as mineral makeup, but they make blushes, eye shadows, and many other colors. Price varies by brand, but I think Bare Minerals/Bare Escentuals is the best brand. Check it out at sephora, ulta, amazon.com, and bareescentuals.com.
Try puritycosmetics,co,uk. It is really good!
Mineral mekeup is like skin tone base or cover up powder
for your face it is expensive but it lets your skin breathe better than that smugy cream

Will mineral make-up cover up severe acne and severe acne scars?
I have terrible acne and terrible acne scars and was thinking about trying some kind of mineral make-up but I wasn't sure if it would cover well. Does anyone with terrible acne and acne scars use this make-up and if so does it cover well? Will mineral make-up cover up severe acne and severe acne scars?
i have a similar problem! except my acne has cleared up but I still have scars left. To cover them up, I use mac's studio fix fluid. It's a medium coverage liquid foundation and it's very buildable. It covers my scars so well and I dont even need to use concealer. Most of the time, I just put more product on my problem area(cheeks). I'd recommend it, plus the people there can color match you so you won't have to guess what color you are. Will mineral make-up cover up severe acne and severe acne scars?
use a good foundation, then mineral powder. thats what I do, I have acne though not really bad. Just don't use a ton of it.
To get rid of scars there are medicines you can use that will fade them. Try Mederma- I have a scar on my hand that used to be quite prominent, but I used Mederma and it's faded quite a bit. Also scars generally fade with time.
I doubt it will cover up severe acne, but I know Max Factor's PanStik is really good for covering up acne. I use it, just rub some onto your skin and use a damp cosmetic sponge to blend it in.
But if you have oily skin, don't buy it. It's a bit cakey.
for acne scars, use scar zone, mederma, or cocoa butter. even the best mineral makeup wont cover up severe acne scars. once your scars have lighten up, than you can try some mineral makeup from MAC.makeup

How old are you supposed to be to use mineral make up?
I'm only 23 years old and decided to try mineral make up from sheercover or bare minerals but i am worried about my skin.
is there any reverse effects from using it?How old are you supposed to be to use mineral make up?
Hey dear ... I am an Avon Beauty Rep (I don't call myself a sales rep becz, I just won't sell anything) yes mineral makeup is so light on your skin ... OMG ... I have studied makeup for the past 5 years becuz I was scared to just put anything on my skin, and the mineral makeup is great. You'll love itHow old are you supposed to be to use mineral make up?
I wish I had known about mineral makeup when I was 23. It would have saved me soooo much trouble and agony.
MMU is very good for the skin, many people, myself included, actually got better skin after starting to use it. It is very gentle and gives beautiful coverage and applied correctly, looks very natural. MMU takes some getting used to. You have to apply it correctly and buff it very well. A little practice will get you going in the right direction.
Bare Minerals makes a very good MMU. But, they do use bismuth, a filler, and if you have sensitive skin, that could irritate it. If so, try a MMU that has no bismuth. I believe that Pur Minerals or Everyday Minerals Don't have bismouth.
My fave mineral foundation, SunCatNatural has no bismouth. And is very reasonably priced, too. You can find it by doing a search.
Don't be afriad of mineral makeup. It really is terrific stuff and it is good for your skin, too. :)
I am 13 and when i decided I wanted to start wearing make up my mom got my bare minerals. It is great because it looks natural, you can't feel it on your skin, it will make your skin look flawless, and it won't make you break out.
I use bare minerals make up and its so amazing. I have absolutely horrid skin because I'm half american indian and my skin has never looked better!! its makes your skin look better trust me!! especially if you have a problem with allot of inflammation or redness. its not heavy at all either and its super easy to apply.
is there any reverse effects from using it?How old are you supposed to be to use mineral make up?

What are some good brands of mineral make up?
Brands of minerals make up? Does one brand really differ from the next? What are some good brands of mineral make up?
u mean the different kinds of makeup they have? cuz bear minerals is one brand
oops misread, sry lol i thought u meant different brands of bear minerals but ya theres so many, sheer color, bearl, covergirl etc! What are some good brands of mineral make up?
no they are not all the same. i use the liquid minerals from bee luscious because they use no talc or oils. plus it is a liquid to powder so it is not messy like the powders. oh and no worries about clogged pores because it is also oil free.

Airbonne
bareMinerals is the best way to go since it is very natural and the only brand of mineral make up approved by the National Skin Association to be good for your skin. It also looks as if you don't actually have a whole bunch of make up- very sheer but covers up your blemishes
i like 2 brands; one is philosophy and the other is bare minerals. both are excellent! go to qvc.com.
Sheer Cover is amazing, but it's hard to find in stores.
It's a mineral makeup with actual minerals and medicines in it to make your face look beautiful with and without makeup.
If you want a cheaper brand try Physicians Formula. I swear by it. It covers everything and makes your skin even and soft. It also will not clog pores and doesn't contain talc!
I tried a bunch of different ones, here's the scoop.
Bare Minerals and SHeer cover and Arbonne's made me itch. Has bismuth oxychloride in it.
Store brands that have talc, clogs pores and has a buncha chemicals.
Best to seek out the ones without talc and bismuth.
I tried a buncha samples and ended up LOVING the LA Minerals stuff.
Great ingredients, price, customer service, etc....
They have samples for like $1 and ship em free, so you can try it without breaking the bank.
I hate the companies that want to send you the ';trial kit'; for ';free'; and if you keep it they charge you a zillion dollars every month!
LA Minerals doesn't do that....I respect that.

Does bare naturale mineral make up by loreal make you break out?
do you like it?Does bare naturale mineral make up by loreal make you break out?
Yes they can, Drugstore brands are loaded with chemicals, cheap fillers and binders that can cause skin irritation, rash, itching and acne. Loreal uses Bismuth Oxychloride which is very well known to cause skin irritation. I am a professional makeup artist and skin care specialist, I do a LOT of high end clientele. I do photo shoots, weddings etc. I have used so many different brands of makeup and different mediums (liquid, cream, mineral) NEVER USE ANY mineral makeup with BISMUTH OXYCHLORIDE it is actually a METAL that has been processed with tin and copper. It is a skin irritant and can cause rash, itching, and in larger doses cystic acne.
Don't use Bare escentuals or Drugstore brands (Loreal, Maybelline, revlon etc..)
They are ALL about marketing (whatever you want to hear)
1)Saying NO PRESERVATIVES (very misleading) they DO use preservatives, in their mineral veils and other skincare lines
2)Saying Pure Minerals- they are not as I stated before they use bismuth which is actually a processsed metal and very cheap filler
3)Saying you can sleep in it- No dermatologist would ever recommend you to sleep in any makeup, especially ones with preservatives and bismuth
4)They use cheap fillers (bismuth, cornstarch)-more itchiness and irritation
5)They are overhyped, overpriced for what they are selling you
6)They wear off by mid day (reapply, reapply) and look pretty greasy if you have slightly oily skin (due to the bismuth, I cannot have this with photos as matte photos better)
OVERALL REVIEW- Stay away from BARE ESCENTUALS and drugstore brands especially as they look cheap cakey and powdery.
After much research on mineral makeup I now use FAERIE ORGANIC MINERALS and this is why.........
1)They ARE natural, THEY use NO PRESERVATIVES, No cheap fillers (cornstarch etc) NO BISMUTH OXYCHLORIDE
2)Their minerals STAY PUT! They last all day even in some pretty extreme heat
3) Great coverage (redness, acne, etc) light as a feather, airy, natural and yet leaves a healthy glow.
4)They use a high end expensive mineral called BORON NITRIDE (this is used in the highest end mineral brands like Jane Iredale etc)
5) Boron Nitride! It is amazing on the skin. It is known to be antibacterial (actually helps acne when your wearing it), it is skin soothing and a skin perfector and makes your makeup last all day (this is what I look for in mineral makeup)
6)They offer a FREE sample kit so you can try several colors at once (you just pay shipping-like $5.99)
7)Their colors blend wonderfully into the skin looking very natural and dewy
8)They do NOT use MICRO PARTICLES (you need to look for this as these are very dangerous to your health if inhaled and many companies use them)
9) They do no coat their products (this can also be bad for your skin and dangerous to your health watch for silicone treated or dimethicone etc- very undesirable, especially with acne)
10)They are NEVER cakey, powdery or dull like store brands which are so cheap
OVERALL REVIEW- this is the best I have used and my clientele loves it too. I know you will. http://www.faerieorganic.com
Does bare naturale mineral make up by loreal make you break out?
I totally agree! I have adrenal gland insufficiency %26amp; that makes me more sensitive to makeup. I tried Bare Minerals (what a waste of $) %26amp; it left my face burning with a rash same goes for Loreal Liquid. I have tried all kinds %26amp; can't find one that does not hurt me. Stay away from B.E. %26amp; Loreal! Report Abuse
As a professional makeup artist for over 20 years I have dealt with this problem quite often. YES it does break youout 90% of the time because of the main ingredient being Bismuth Oxychloride which by the way is a form or arsenic lead you are putting on your faceeee. Yes it clog pores and irritates the skin you will know because you will have increased itching. YOu can try this brand its bismuth free and hypo allergenic.

I've been using it for over a month now with no breakouts. Love it.
my sister used it before and we both have very sensitive skin(it runs in the family). It looked very nice on her, and didn't break her out.
No, I love it....It looks very natural! I will continue to use it!
no it does not I have been using it for about 3 weeks now and I haven't broken out once. Its really really cool.

Does anyone have more information on DaVinci mineral make up?
I just want reviews. How ';natural ';is it? is it any good?Does anyone have more information on DaVinci mineral make up?
According to this link I sent, they recently changed their name. From what I know of the ingredient some use like Bismuth Oxychloride, which can make your skin itch DaVinci uses none, which is great news to me. You can read more. I also looked up the old name,Bella Pierre, on Ebay, and they have a fair amount for sale there. Also their website is www.adavinci.com Hope this has been helpful for you!Does anyone have more information on DaVinci mineral make up?

How do you prime your face before putting on L.A. mineral make up? Or any mineral makeup brand?
What exactly do you do to ';prime your face'; before putting on any of the make up?How do you prime your face before putting on L.A. mineral make up? Or any mineral makeup brand?
I use Bare Escentials mineral make up. They have a product called bareVitamins ';Prime Time'; foundation primer.
It works really great! It's a little pricey but a little goes a long way. 1 fl oz bottle has lasted me 4 months so far and isn't nearly done.

i used bare minerals, and i have acne/scars, and i didn't really like it... it also made me break out more, even though it supposed to be really good for your skin...
I use the mineral powder foundation by Arbonne.
I love it. Kicking myself for not trying it sooner. It does cover minor blemishes well and it is good for you - (as opposed to most foundations)
Pure, safe and natural - you look air brushed and have a radiant finished touch... mine lasted over 7 months and I used it every day!
I have tried most all of the products listed above and they are all good. The one I am most satisfied with is the mineral foundation made by Bee-Luscious Cosmetics. It covers the best and is very comfortable to wear. Any of the good mineral makeups should help with your acne because the high quality mineral foundations are oil free. Check out Bee-Luscious online. I emailed them with the colors I thought I would like and they sent me some free samples to match my skin tones.
no thats okay lol its a good score! it just went up to 1.6 that means that 160 people voted it as a 5!
Thanks for voting
Bare Minerals is supposed to be good. I use Physician's Formula Mineral Wear from Target. It runs about 10-12 dollars. I am really happy with it.
i have tried bare minerals and its awesome : )
and I also just bought Pur Minerals (at ulta) and its a pressed form, foundation, powder and concealer in one and Im in love with it.. it was $24 :)
My daughter went to a store in the mall where they were giving make over with bare minerals. I don't know if it was because of her dark skin tone or what, but she looked very washed out and her skin looked dry.
She's 14 and doesn't have acne. She has very good skin actually. This stuff made her look like a dead person. Maybe it was the person applying it to her, but neither of us liked it.
I have tried Avons mineral foundation. I found that if you are getting it to cover up acne it is not so good. I was going to send it back but I also have occasional red patches on my chest and to minimize these it work really well. If your skin is basically clear you would probably like it. But get color samples, if possible, before committing to buying a whole container. I bought mine in a color I normally use and it was too pale for my face. kinda gave me a pastey look. good luck!
The only brand of mineral makeup that I've tried so far is Bare Escentuals, I think its great. I have a little bit of redness on my face and the foundation combined with the concealer is great. I'm not sure that I would try anything other brand. As far as acne goes, I don't know if it helps clear acne but I have sensitive skin and I barely get a pimple since using it.
Bare Mineral is good, but pricey---there are other lines that works just as well.
I tell you, people with acne scaring, it may cover redness but not holes in your face...
Mineral makeup mission is to even up your skin tones, and that it does.
I have dark spots and it covers them wonderfully, plus is light and feels like you don't have any make up at all...my clients love it, when I use it to do weddings and events.
Ok. I have not tried the mineral makeup line, but at Sally Beauty Supply there is a line called, ';Natural Rice'; dual wet and dry foundation. It is in a compact. It lasts all day. It covers well. For acne, you may need concealer or wetting the powder in this compact. It was like $10. It is amazing! Good Luck! God Blessa and Be Safe :)
I have tried bare minerals and I love it! It feels like you don't have anything on and it hides blemishes easily also my face has cleared up a lot since I started using it.
I use Signature Minerals myself. The end result looks very natural on my skin. It covers blemishes and acne really well and keeps my skin from getting all shiny and oily during the day. Its for sensitve and acne prone skin because it has no irritating ingredients its all natural .makeup

Good mineral make-up for ethnic skin with no nasties?
Hello, I recently asked a question about what is a good make-up for great acne coverage. It seems that mineral make up is the way to go. Now, which one has the best colours for ethnic skin and also doesn't contain any nasties like Bismuth Oxychloride?Good mineral make-up for ethnic skin with no nasties?
I am not a fan of Bareminerals (has Bismuth Oxide or something spelled like that, in it)
Try Jane Iredale. This has some nice colors for deeper skin and has no ';nasties'; in it! lol!Good mineral make-up for ethnic skin with no nasties?
Jane Iredale
Ignore the Bare Escentuals recommendations--they contain those nasties %26amp; it has made my face break out before!
Bare Escentuals is a really good mineral make up.
i heard of
aromaleigh.com
they seem to get good reviews
%26amp; they say they're great for oily skin
because they're free of bismuth oxychloride
bare minerals is fantastic! it doesn't completely cover up your acne like foundation would, but the mineral veil has cornstarch and other good stuff taht just soaks up those oils on your T-zone and it actually is good for your skin and can reduce acne!
good luck!
Medusa Makeup

They don't necessarily have good facial coverage powders for ethnic colors, but they are completely mineral. The eye dusts and eye shadows are fantastic!
I like MAC Mineralize

Mineral make up - is it harmful to the lungs - asbestos effect?
Mineral make up is very popular now but I am wondering how safe it is for the lungs. Would breathing that in every day be bad for you?Mineral make up - is it harmful to the lungs - asbestos effect?
Unless you or the manufacturer are doing something silly, it will not be a problem for the lungs. However, almost all makeup causes water pollution when you wash it off or remove it. Those ';minerals'; are naturally found in the ground, but not in the water cycle and things like barium and others have to be removed. So when you see any called ';eco';, read the claims. If they talk about natural from the earth, that is just bull. The only sustainable makeup is the makeup you never by. Also, manufacturing the materials causes pollution.Mineral make up - is it harmful to the lungs - asbestos effect?
Inhaling anything other than clean air is not good for lungs. Be careful not to inhale while you are dusting powder on your face. Take a deep breath and hold it while you are dusting with powder and take a step back after exhaling before inhaling. Every particle you inhale has to be gathered up by the mucus coating of your lungs and carried out by the tiny hairs that line your bronchial tubes. This system can easily be overloaded.
If the makeup is not suspended in the air, it is much lower risk for your lungs.
--
Regards,
John Popelish
Asbestos is bad for you because it takes the form of microscopic thin fibers which embed themselves in the lung instead of being swept out by the mucus cleaning mechanism that handles ordinary dust. There are not short straight fibers of any kind in mineral makeup.
There are no ';asbestos effect'; minerals in mineral makeup. Why should there be? How could there be?
Breathing in lots of any kind of dust will be bad for you, but I assume you're not planning to sniff the stuff.
how wuld your nose suck up something on your face???,
