Does the mineral make-up really work as good as they claim it does?

I am 35 and starting to see some lines, plus I have oily skin and some acne breakouts when I'm stressed out. Will mineral make-up really make all this less visible and blend in well with my skin without looking cakey?Does the mineral make-up really work as good as they claim it does?
i use the bare minerals makeup and LOVE IT. I don't like liquid foundations because they are too heavy and they tend to look cakey on me. The minerals makeup covers really well, evens out my skin better than any foundation I've tried, and it stays on really well (i live in a very humid place and liquid makeup gets slimey and gross most summer days, but bare minerals never has). I should warn you though, you won't get the perfect look you see in the commercials, but I still love it. Yes there are a few tiny problem areas that don't ';disappear'; with bare minerals, but the makeup does make it look less noticeable. I really like how it makes me look natural, like the ony makeup I have on is some eyeshadow and mascara (if I'm wearing it). It makes me look like i have naturally beautiful skin and if were to put on some foundation/cover up I'd have movie star quality perfect skin. Plus it really did help my skin clear up because I wasn't put so much smothering, pore clogging, nasty stuff on my face. I really do love my bare minerals makeup. I've tried all sorts of makeup (even higher end expensive stuff from places like Estee Lauder, Mary Kay, Artistry, as well as the Cover Girl, Mayballene, and all that stuff) and haven't found something I've liked as much as bare minerals. Just my personal experience.Does the mineral make-up really work as good as they claim it does?
I tried that makeup it was ok it will to better for you with oily skin i have dry skin so it didn't work for me but when i get a zit you can feel it dry it up. But It did not last all day not even four hours you have to touch-up alot. I have fair skin and the 3 shades you get in the starter kit were too dark. so i had to buy and extra fair one.

I would try Neutrogena Mineral Sheers makeup first to see if you like it cause bare minerals is $$
If you're going to wear it, Don't put it over foundation like they say you can, because i used it as a powder over my foundation and it makes Ur face streaky and cakey looking if Ur gonna wear it, wear it alone
Mineral makeups work on the premise that the skin doesn't absorb topical minerals easily, and therefore does not clog pores as much as liquids. I'm almost 40 and use Neutrogena Mineral Sheers. It works better than any makeup I've tried, and I've noticed a big improvement in my breakout situation.
My ex-boss ';stole'; my bare minerals, and she can afford ANY and ALL make-up on the market, it's the best, go to sephoria to try it out!

It blends well, does NOT cake, run, or smear! By far the best make-up I have ever used, and if you tan, have freckles, you can custom match your changing skin tones!

I would really suggest buying their starter kit, a real steal, comes with the kabookie brush, and several shades to play with..all for under 60.oo!
I've used bare minerals over a year now, and had amazing results. My face looks natural with the makeup on, and they have some fantastic eye stuff, too. It really does help, you can't see that there's makeup on my face, but my color is evened out, and if I have a zit, their concealer, multi-tasking bisque, covers almost anything - they did a demo on tv once, that I saw, where it covered a huge birthmark one poor girl had, whole side of her face practically, was purple. If you want to try before you invest a fortune, go to ebay and search bare minerals - they have sample kits that are good for about a week to two weeks use, to give you a chance to try their stuff, and you can get samples of the eye shadow that will be all you need for a month for a buck or so.
