Is mineral make up worth the extra money?

I'm considering buying a set of mineral make up. I'm just wondering if it's worth it. Does the eyeshadows offer more pigment? Does it feel lighter than powder?Is mineral make up worth the extra money?
Mineral makeup had its start in San Francisco in the 1970s as part of the all-natural movement. Mineral-infused products have been going strong since that time.

But is there really an advantage to paying more for a dose of zinc oxide, titanium dioxide and mica in your makeup?

Dr. Arielle Kauvar with the Good Housekeeping Institute said the main advantage to mineral makeup is that it should contain no chemicals, fragrances or preservatives, which can irritate the skin. The minerals actually sit on top of the skin rather than being absorbed into the skin.

';And they inert substances,'; Kauvar said. ';So they won't cause irritation or inflammation.';

The institute's beauty editors recommended Bare Escentuals Bareminerals SPF 15 foundation and Pur Minerals 4-in-1 pressed mineral makeup foundation SPF 15. The product has four features compressed into one foundation -- a powder, a concealer, a foundation and a sunscreen, Kauvar said. The product is easy to apply and feels light on the skin. Is mineral make up worth the extra money?
I think mineral makeup is absolutely wonderful! The eyeshadows are very pigmented and stay on the lids longer than conventional shadows. I don't spend extra money on my mineral makeup. I have found a makeup line that I love better than the more expensive brands. I get so much more for my dollar and I love the way my skin looks!
I've tried L'Oréal Bare Minerals and I think i might be the only one who regrets buying it. It completely dries my skin out, it itches and it smells kinda funny after a while ( a bit like when you're peeling a potato! lol)

And maybelline mousse isn't mineral btw!!
I have both There is a little difference, you skin will have a bit of a shine and with normal powder foundation it looks more natural and matte
yeah, mineral makeup really is good. it feels like ur not wearing any makeup, and its really good for your skin, well better than other stuff. i really like it.
Definitely; It makes it so you don't have acne quite as often. Also, since I have REALLY sensitive skin, my skin doesn't become dried out or too oily.
its worth it, but dont go out and buy some expensive one.

Joppa Minerals and E.L.F have cheap shadows.
yeah its great, especially matte mouse maybeline foundation
no. those compinies just think their all special so they raise their prices. it dosen't make any difference
