Most mineral makeup consists of ingredients like bismuth oxycholoride (which many people are allergic too), iron oxides (providing spf protection), mica, titanium dioxide, and zinc oxide (these are the ingredients in Bare Minerals).

Avoid any mineral makeup that includes talc (cough, Mary Kay). Talc is a cheap filler and is in regular powder makeup. It's not good for your skin - clogs pores, etc.. It's a joke that any makeup would call itself ';mineral'; and include talc.

Jane Iredale is one line of mineral makeup that has some of the most natural and least irritating ingredients:

Other Ingredients: Mica (CI 77019), Boron Nitride, Zinc Stearate, Dimethicone, Stearic Acid, Plankton Extract, Algae Extract, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Extract

May contain: Iron Oxides (CI 77489, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Ultramarines (CI 77007)What exactly are the minerals that they use in mineral make up?
